Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Conduct fitness assessments and consultations with clients to understand their goals, fitness levels, and any health concerns.
- Develop customized workout plans tailored to the individual needs and goals of each client.
- Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and provide guidance on using fitness equipment effectively.
- Motivate and support clients throughout their fitness journey, offering encouragement and accountability.
- Monitor client progress regularly and make necessary adjustments to workout plans to ensure continued progress.
- Provide education on nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits to complement fitness programs.
- Maintain a clean and safe workout environment, ensuring equipment is properly sanitized and in good working condition.
- Stay informed about current fitness trends, research, and best practices in the industry.
- Keep accurate records of client sessions, progress, and any relevant health information.
- Participate in team meetings, workshops, and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
- Uphold the values and standards of the fitness facility, representing the brand positively at all times.
- Maintain professional certifications and fulfill any continuing education requirements as mandated by certifying organizations.
Experience Required
- Certified Personal Trainer through a recognized certification program
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, exercise physiology, and nutrition.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals.
- Experience working with diverse populations and adapting fitness programs accordingly.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Prior experience in a fitness center or personal training studio is desirable.
