Graphic Designer/ Art Director

Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Graphic Designer with Art Director capabilities to join our growing core marketing team, reporting directly to the Head of Marketing. This role demands a creative powerhouse who can confidently handle hands-on graphic design projects and drive creative direction across multiple platforms.

You’ll work closely alongside our Marketing Manager and Content Creator, visually interpreting and executing campaigns throughout the full brand and sales lifecycles. We’re building this team to set a new standard in fitness industry marketing, blending innovative creativity with strategic commercial awareness.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

You have aspirations not just to create, but to innovate, inspire, and leave a lasting mark in the industry. Ideally, you've honed your skills working with lifestyle, hospitality, or fitness brands known for their distinct and influential identities. Your portfolio demonstrates your ability to produce visually striking designs, and you possess an intrinsic understanding of art direction combined with practical business acumen. You’re deeply engaged with contemporary pop culture and comfortable integrating relevant style nods into your designs. Additionally, experience with HTML, CSS, or web design is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop innovative and compelling visual content across digital, print, and environmental branding.

• Lead creative projects from ideation through execution, ensuring alignment with WHGym’s distinctive brand voice and aesthetic.

• Collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager and Content Creator to execute and interpret marketing and sales campaigns.

• Actively contribute to creative strategy, helping evolve the WHGym brand to keep it fresh, influential, and commercially relevant.

• Guide team members, providing clear art direction and constructive feedback.

Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years' experience in graphic design/art direction roles.

• Proven experience with lifestyle, hospitality, fitness brands, or creative agencies known for standout branding.

• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

• Demonstrated experience in both graphic design and art direction.

• Strong understanding or passion for street art, house music, and contemporary fitness culture.

• Exceptional creative vision, with an eye for bold, impactful design coupled with practical commercial acumen.
