CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Overview

This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security and scalability of all technology across the business whilst driving digital transformation, AI adoption, systems integration and innovation.

The successful candidate will create a connected technology ecosystem across all areas of the business, enhance the member and employee experience, improve efficiency through automation, and support the growth of Warehouse Gym as a leading fitness brand in the region.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Technology Strategy & Transformation:

• Develop and deliver the company’s technology and digital transformation roadmap.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation and emerging technologies.
• Drive innovation and challenge traditional ways of working.
• Partner with the Executive Team to support business growth and scalability.

Systems & Integration:

• Create a connected technology ecosystem across all business functions.
• Lead the selection, implementation and optimisation of business systems.
• Ensure seamless integration between Membership, Finance, Marketing, HR, Recruitment, Payroll and Operations platforms.
• Eliminate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.

Member Experience & Digital Products:

• Lead the development and enhancement of the Warehouse Gym app and digital member journey.
• Improve online joining, bookings, communications, retention and loyalty initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the member experience through technology and data.

AI & Automation:

• Implement AI solutions across the business.
• Drive automation of repetitive administrative and operational tasks.
• Support AI adoption in sales, marketing, recruitment, HR, customer service and reporting.

Data & Business Intelligence:

• Develop a company-wide data strategy.
• Create dashboards and reporting tools to support decision-making.
• Improve visibility of key business metrics and performance indicators.

Technology Operations:

• Ensure all technology platforms remain secure, stable and fit for purpose.
• Oversee IT infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, hardware and support services.
• Ensure business continuity and minimise operational disruption.
• Support technology requirements for new branch openings and expansion.

Leadership:

• Build and lead a high-performing technology function.
• Manage external vendors and technology partners.
• Champion a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Projects & Deliverables:

• Develop a fully integrated technology ecosystem across the business.
• Enhance the Warehouse Gym app and digital member experience.
• Implement AI and automation solutions that improve productivity and efficiency.
• Deliver business intelligence dashboards and reporting capabilities.
• Support the successful opening and integration of new locations.
• Improve technology uptime, security and operational performance.

Experience Required

• Degree in Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• 10+ years of technology leadership experience.
• Proven experience leading digital transformation and systems integration projects.
• Strong understanding of AI, automation, data and emerging technologies.
• Experience in multi-site, consumer-facing or high-growth businesses preferred.
• Strong commercial, strategic and problem-solving skills.
